Rev. Dr. Pauline Gayle, an ardent servant of God, seeks to bring excellence to every
facet of her life. Her profound love for the Lord and unwavering commitment to
walk in His perfect will is evident in her daily lifestyle. Rev. Dr. Gayle, a credentialed
ordained minister of the Church of God serves as the New York State Church of God
Evangelist, State Ministerial Internship Program (MIP) and Calling And Ministry
Studies (CAMS) Coordinator/Teacher
Over 47 years, Rev. Dr. Gayle has served in various capacities in the Church of God,
at local, district, and state levels. She served for 21 years as an Associate Pastor at
the Church of God of East Flatbush now known as Ebenezer Urban Ministry Center
(EUMC) Brooklyn, New York. Rev. Dr. Gayle experienced many firsts during ministry
and known to be a trendsetter. She was the Director of State Senior Youth Camp,
District Youth Director, Local Youth Director, and Secretary of the District
Ministerial Board. Rev Gayle was the first woman to be honored “Youth Director of
the Year” at the General Assembly. She was the first woman to serve as a member of
the New York State Youth Board and the first New York State Evangelist. Despite the
demands of her pastoral call, she is also an Evangelist on an international, national
and local level. She speaks under the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit at
conventions, conferences, crusades, seminars, youth camps and retreats.
An advocate of education, she has successfully completed her undergraduate degree
in Liberal Arts, her Masters in Special Education, Advanced Certification as an
Administrative Supervisor and completed and received a doctor’s degree in
Educational Leadership. She leveraged her extensive knowledge and skills as a NYC
Principal, Assistant Principal, District Math Teacher Trainer, Math Staff Developer,
and Teacher. Rev. Dr. Gayle has taken advantage of the opportunity to retire early,
and in so doing she is able to return to full time ministry and also mentors principals.
As principal of the New York City Department of Education, Pauline Smith-Gayle was honored
Outstanding Administrator/ Educator of the Year 2006 by
Education Update at a well-attended award Ceremony at the Harvard Club.
Here congratulatory letters were sent from Mayor Michael Bloomberg,
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Senator Charles Schumer and Chancellor Joel Klein. She also
received Community Awards from Assemblyman N. Nick Perry, GD Radio 92.1FM,
Full Effect Gospel Ministries, Inc. and Church of God of East Flatbush.
She is the proud mother of a daughter Tiffany. However, over the years she has earned the love and respect of many who claim the right to be her spiritual children
in the church and in the schoolroom.
